During the meeting the Parties discussed a number of urgent issues regarding process of regulating the situation in Transdniestria and cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union.
The EU Special Representative stated that "the issue concerning independence of Kosovo should not set a precedent for settlement of problems in other regions, including Transdniestria".
Kalman Mizsei drew attention to the relations between the European Union and Ukraine.
The Parties discussed the issue regarding delimitation of Ukrainian-Moldavian border.
Kalman Mizsei emphasized that the European Union is interested in stable cooperation between Moldova and Ukraine. Thus, Moldova pays considerable attention to Ukraine´s experience in the process of its Euro-Integration.
The Committee Chairman informed Kalman Mizsei of renewed and extended functions of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Serhiy Shevchuk, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee on European Integration, attended the meeting.
